Renting a house in the Bahamas or a hotel? Holiday rentals are becoming very popular, but many people ask wrong questions when they ask about renting a house, read this article where I answer many important questions that most people forget to ask when they book a Bahamas house for rent or travel to The Bahamas.
Is there a beach nearby?
This seems pointless question because you rent a “Beach House” and the establishment is already there, however, prepare to be surprised, almost 30% of Bahama’s Beach Houses are advertised as such, but are located just a mile from the beach.
So make sure to ask carefully about the proximity of the beach to the beach for renting a house or villa, if you do not mention in the advertisement that the beach is on the other side of the road, then you can assume that this is an honest way away from the hotel.
Does the villa have a view of the beach with a view of the beach?
If you are paying for renting a Bahama’s beach property then it is important that renting a property has extensive views of the sea if you don’t forget and then, as it is hundreds more renting a beach in Bahamas that have a balcony and bedroom overlooking the beach that cost the same or are similar in price.
If you are in the Bahamas on a honeymoon honeymoon or a romantic Bahamas holiday, then the view is essential for those romantic sunsets and dramatic tropical dawn, ask if the beach can be seen from the master’s bedrooms bed, this is an excellent bonus, because there is nothing more romantic than hugging and watching the lunar beach, with soft lapping waves and a magnificent panorama of bright stars above just frames everything perfectly and providing some vivid memories that will stay with you for life.
Does the beach rental have drinking water?
Another trite sounding question, but one that is very important, most island rentals do not have drinking water, usually you have to buy it for drinking and cleaning, with which there is an, extra expense that can become expensive if you are a family with water wasting children.
It is also sick buying water, every hour of vacation is precious, you do not want to spend valuable hours on water excursions when you can be in the “water” swimming, diving and fishing.
Is there a place for a barbecue and a patio?
You have bbq, there is nothing tastier than fresh seafood and local products cooked on bbq. If you are a family on vacation or a group of friends, then eating out in town every night can be very expensive, every good house rental should have a built in bbq area for entertainment and fun.
Find out where local residents shop with products and meat and seafood, you will find prices much cheaper and variety more risky and exotic than what is served to tourists.
It is almost inevitable in Bahama’s that you’ll make new friends while you’re on vacation, it obviously leads to entertainment, which is where bbq is useful, you can show your spatula and tong skills, mum doesn’t have to do everything to cook and all the mess can go straight into the garbage.
Is there Internet access?
This is important for many today, broadband Internet access should be free when you’re there. Although we are on vacation, many of us still need to communicate with the office or company when we are absent or check email. This is also useful for more local research if you need information on topics that were not previously considered.
Finally, if it rains, which will probably be at least one day’s holiday, the Internet is great for children’s entertainment.
It is a good idea if you have a digital camera to create a free account on your photo blog and upload many digital holiday photos to it both to store and so that relatives and friends can be up to date on Bahama’s holidays by visiting your photo blog.
As you can post digital photos and write text on your blog, it will remain a valued online holiday record to visit when you feel a little nostalgic.
Does the rental have a laundry?
If not mentioned, ask about it. You don’t need to bring 3 tight suitcases with clothes, just bring a minimum wardrobe that are comfortable with, you’ll notice all casual dresses unless you really need these polyester trousers and socks and sandals.
It is a good idea to pack your basic things and swimsuit and one casual outfit in a handbag, as it is a common problem to make your luggage lost or delayed, is prepared means much less stress if that happens.
Is there cable TV?
Who on earth would like to watch TV during the holidays?
Who knows, but this is useful if you are in the rain for the day or
a sleepless night.
